Travel Out Loud Contest!

Featured

We need your help!

See, working at Pacsafe is fun (it really is – cool folks, laid back atmosphere, sweet products) but sometimes, we’d rather just spend all day looking at travel photos (who doesn’t).  So we came up with an idea.

What if we made it our job to look at travel photos all day and give away a bunch of sweet gear?  And who better to ask for travel photos than Pacsafers?

Our guess is that Pacsafers have some of the best travel photos on the planet; we think that Pacsafers find more hidden travel spots, have more exciting stories, and have crazier photos than what we can find through Google and stalking our friends on Facebook.

So we came up with this contest – we want YOUR awesome travel photos and the cool stories behind them (with Pacsafe gear is great but not a prerequisite).  Then we want to give away a bunch of Pacsafe gear!  Simply follow the instructions below

1.)  Email editor@pacsafe.com with a photo and a 30-word caption/story
2.)  We’ll post your photo on The Smart Traveler blog and send you the link
3.)  All the photos will be listed like below
4.)  The photos with the most Facebook Likes + Tweets will win sweet Pacsafe gear
5.)  AND we’re going to choose our favorite travel photo so invite your friends to vote but don’t worry if you don’t want to pester them since we’ll be watching too!

Since you guys generously sent me those wrapsafes in December last year for doing a silly dance in my garden, I’ve ridden my 22 year old 250cc motorized nearly 12000km. I rode across the desert from Melbourne to Darwin, Australia and then shipped to East Timor before riding up through Indonesia to Jakarta where I am now. In a few days I’ll head up to Sumatra and keep on going through Malaysia. The wrapsafes as well as the pacsafe wallet you sent me have been invaluable and I hope you like the photos attached!

We  spent days sightseeing the Alps, going back and forth between Italy, Switzerland, and France, stopping for picnics and short hikes.

We always had our valuables secured with your products!

What could be more exciting than seeing The Great Wall for the first time? It was a breathtaking view – and hike! My PacSafe made the journey as well.

I spent a week observing Lambani women create beautiful embroidered goods in the village of Sandur in southern India. They tried their best to teach me but I was more successful at snapping their pics.

Celebrating at the summit of Goatfell on the Isle of Arran, Scotland. Climbed to raise money for WaterAid with our theme being “Panting for WaterAid” – hence the use of pants.

Chiang Rai to Luang Prabang by speedboat on the Mekong River. Contrary to popular advice found in Lonely Planet, I could not help myself from choosing the six hours speed boat ride over the two day slow boat alternative. I survived..but.. holy XXXX
