With plans to open February 7, 2014; the property sits and overlooks the banks of the Kamogawa River. The hotel is situated amidst 17 World Heritage sites, all within walking distance. The 134-room hotel boasts local artists’ creations and features traditional Japanese style furnishings. Specific suites feature an outdoor garden with moon-viewing deck. A spa is located at a waterfall’s base and dining room also features an 11-meter waterfall.
Virgin Hotel | Chicago, Illinois
Entrepreneur, Richard Branson, chose Chicago to birth its first lifestyle brand hotels, Virgin. The 27-story Art deco hotel will feature 250 guest rooms and also offer meeting spaces, restaurants and lounges. Date of release is unknown, but what is known is the vibe, style and atmosphere will relish the recognizable airline’s vibe. The hotel will overtake the Old Dearborn Bank Building located in the Loop Neighborhood.
Alila Jabal Akhdar | Oman
Situated 2,000 meters above sea level, alongside the mountains, is the new Omani hotel. The 86-room hotel sits on the side of a gorge featuring dramatic Hajar Mountain and poolside views. The rooms resemble flat roofed Omani houses. Relax in the spa, workout or take a dip in one of the outdoor or indoor pools. The hotel expects to open March 2014.
Trump National Doral | Miami, Florida
Owner, Donald Trump, is known for his grandiose style. With plans to open in the fall 2014, Trump put forth a $250 million dollar renovation over the old, yet iconic, Doral Golf Resort and Spa. The facelift will feature 693 rooms, revamped public spaces and five expanded golf courses. BLT Prime is known as the hotel’s signature restaurant featuring a cosmopolitan aesthetic and atmosphere.
Anantara Doha Island Resort and Spa | Qatar
Opening in April 2014, is the 13-hectare private island resort. The hotel features 141 rooms, overwater villas, plunge pools; spa, golf course, sports and more leisure activities to fill occupy you around the clock. The hotel is only accessible via speedboat. An offshore artificial reef is the future home to a conservation center and guests can plant coral, dive and snorkel thanks to the fully equipped onsite dive center. On land, watch a cinema, bowl with the family or play tennis. The choice is yours and the opportunities are endless.
Waldorf Astoria | Amsterdam
Opening in March 2014, the 93-room property encompasses six UNESCO World Heritage site, patrician houses. The 17th and 18th Century buildings are refurbished with a modern, chic design overlooking the canal or courtyard garden. Located in the city’s historic center, the hotel features 17th-Century art, magnificent picture windows and the delicious Peacock Restaurant.
W Beijing | Chang’An
