Lights, cameras…ball drops. Get your champagne ready for a salute to getting toasted. New Years is a big event for many cities around the world. Parades, fireworks and lip smooching occur at all hours thanks to the time zone. But if you’re looking for the best places to party, pack your bags and chapstick for the some of the best NYE party destinations.

New York City
New York City boasts crowded streets with frozen skyscrapers in Times Square in preparation for the famous ball drop. New York never sleeps, and that rings true on New Year’s Eve as people flock to the many clubs, lounges and bars in search of dancing in the moonlight.

Sydney, Australia
More than 1.5 million people flock to Sydney Harbor to experience the universal firework display, which illuminates the night sky along the Sydney Opera House and Bridge. This popular destination is hitting the list for top New Year’s Eve destinations, which the party must live up to the lavish and rich culture. The world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa, showcases a decadent firework display. The show illuminates both the Emirate and surrounding desert. Dubai’s posh hotels offer celebration parties with one condition – to enter the New Year in class and style.

Las Vegas
Vegas is known for wild nights and hung-over days. New Years Eve parties definitely live up to that reputation with parties that may never end.  The sandy desert welcomes over 300,000 visitors each New Years Eve. No matter how long the party lasts, check out the many nightclub parties or celebrity concerts, which may require a pre-paid ticket. With whatever happens, this city ranks dead last in the peaceful New Year eve destinations.

Berlin, Germany
Berliners know how to party. From the Golden Twenties to the modern techno craze, clubs, bars, lounges and hedonists fill the party atmosphere. Nearly two million visitors stand amidst the Brandenburg Gate with booze, laughter, light shows, music acts and the famous midnight firework show.  Das sure to be a good night.

London, England
Nearly 250,000 revelers party in the open air, waiting for the Big Ben ball drop. The city explodes in lights and colors at midnight, which is visible throughout the Thames River walk. If you want the true British experience, hit the pubs.

Hong Kong is one of the most technologically advanced cities and lives true to its reputation with its giant, tech-savvy firework show.
