 Before you travel - check the expiration date on your passport. Always make sure your passport will not expire within 6 months of your date of travel. A large majority of countries insist that your passport be valid for at least 6 months, some of them will even insist on it being valid for a year. Also make photocopies of all pages, in case you lose it while on vacation, so you can take the copy to your Embassy.
